Born in South Shields. He studied Graphic Design and Animation at York. Has since worked as an animator, graphic designer, illustrator, script-writer and voice-over artist - usually all on the same jobs.

He started writing poetry in December 1999 during an evening of not much on telly. He was then cajoled by a friend into performing at an open-mic spot at the Fighting Cocks in Byker, where the Vandals eventually formed.

He has been published several times in anthologies and in his own collection - 'Wing It ' published in 2004. He is the winner of the European Capital of Culture Slam 2002, the Manchester Comedy Balloon Comedian of the Year 2003 and the Belfast inter-City Slam 2004 and 2005.
