The Poetry Vandals have grown over the last 5 years to gain an impressive reputation as performance poets not afraid to tackle difficult and unusual venues. In that time it has grown into a collective of six poets. Jeff Price is the founder and organiser of the group. His often highly political and provocative style has won him friends and enemies in equal abundance. Aidan Halpin is a poet and writer who first developed his skills in the seething cauldron of talent that was the 'Dharma Banana' at the Fighting Cocks in Byker. Annie Moir is a long established poet and writer who has had her work performed and published many times. Scott Tyrrell is a poet and performer whose work leans heavily towards the comic. He is a multiple national Slam winner, award-winning comedian and web-designer.

Karl Thompson is an actor, theatre director and national team Slam champion. His range of syles is quite incredible and has performed dub poems back to back with Sonnets. Kate Fox, the newest member of the group, is a first rate performer and wordsmith. She is also a journalist, radio presenter and comedian.

The Poetry Vandals have performed individually and collectively at many significant events around the UK and Europe including the Prague Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. They have a monthly residency at the Cumberland Arms in Byker, Newcastle.
